A so-called leak surfaced on the internet supposedly revealing Alex for SF5, in a screenshot of him fighting Chun-Li in the Hong Kong stage that was shown in the announcement trailer since December. Along with this screenshot were grey test screens of Alex executing different normal attacks.
You'd think it was legit, except the visuals in that screenshot don't even come close to the build for the game that Capcom brought to E3 this year. Why would any newly revealed characters be presented with old graphics that have long since been improved on?
More importantly, the Alex model isn't exactly new. In fact, it wasn't even made by Capcom, but a relatively skilled mod artist.

So there you have it. And thank FUCK it isn't legit, because I think this skin for Abel is godawful. That face not only DOESN'T look close to the young Alex that Kinu Nishimura designed (a typical result from people who don't acknowledge New Generation's existence), but…. it's just fucking stupid. Just look at that screen cap on the bottom right. I've never seen a more retarded emotionless expression on any game character in my life. And why isn't his hair tied into a tail?
That's not to say Alex is out. BornFree from youtube thinks that he, along with Oro, still has a good chance at being in SF5, going just by the marketing decisions that led to the merchandise. This includes the Alex statue from Pop Culture Shock that came out a couple years ago. See for yourself. He makes a very compelling argument.

Huh? Casuals are crying about FM-based loot boxes?

So in addition to Cody as the next DLC character and several improvements to Survival, SF5: Arcade Edition is getting a new feature called "Fighting Chance." As you can see in the link, this is a mode where you get to spend FM for a chance to win one of several items that can't be obtained anywhere else. They can be supplements that can be consumed to make it easier for you to clear Survival mode. They can be character illustrations from any entry in the franchise. They can even be unique c
How EXACTLY is Extra Battle a scam?
I can't believe I'm fucking doing this.....
If you've been playing SF5: Arcade Edition for the last couple weeks, you'd know about the new Extra Battle mode. This is the renewable fight money source that was implemented to replace the exhaustible FM gains from Survival mode. The reason behind this change was that too many people weren't skilled enough to actually finish their Survival runs on Hard or Extreme, so the rewards might as well not have ever been there. I can't say I blame anyone for giving up when even the top players reportedly had a hard time doing it.
SO the Gold Shadaloo Soldier battles are here to compensate as an easier alt
They just don't learn....
SF5: Arcade Edition launched a week ago. And whenever it comes up on social media, or on fighting game forums, you STILL have these casual scrub pieces of shit coming out of the woodwork to trash the game. Complaining about things that have either been "fixed" by this update, or about things that were NEVER an issue. If they're not doing either of those, then they're repeating that tired "Ultra Hyper Omega Super Duper Edition" joke when it no longer applies to the game's current business model. And then, as if that wasn't hinting enough at how stupid they are, they say they'll run to Arc System Works and pick up the new Dragon Ball FighterZ g
SF5: The one game that will get Arcade mode right
I've stated many times before that arcade modes in fighting games were worthless. Playing through the game just to get an ending for every character, most of which are contradictory to actual canon events, would offer very little in terms of replayability. At best, practicing against the CPU can get you accustomed to the system faster, but it's in no way a good training tool. I know this because I managed to beat Gill with Dudley back in New Generation. I thought I knew the character fairly well after accomplishing this, but by the time I started using him against human opponents in Super SF4, I got my ass brutally handed to me.
